Three people arrested on drug charges after Parke County sheriff’s investigation

ROCKVILLE — The Parke County Sheriff’s Department concluded an investigation Wednesday with the execution of search warrants at two separate properties in Parke County and a property in Putnam County and resulted in the arrest of three people.

A search warrant was executed at 4242 E. School Road, Rosedale in rural Bridgeton which resulted in the seizure of an elaborate indoor marijuana growing operation containing approximately 469 marijuana plants that were located throughout both stories of the residence. No one resides at the property.

A second search warrant was executed at 7004 S. 620 E. Rockville, Mansfield which is the residence of Tracey W. Burk and Kristie L. Walker. Approximately a half pound of marijuana was seized from this residence. Tracey Burk, Stephen D. Burk and Walker were all arrested at this residence. A 7-month-old child was also removed from the residence by Parke County Department of Child Services.

A third search warrant was executed a 7316 S. County Road 625 W., Reelsville in Putnam County at the residence of Stephen Burk. The search warrant was executed by members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department.

Tracey W. Burk, 43, and Stephen D. Burk, 66, were charged with class-C felony dealing marijuana over 10 pounds and two class-D felonies — possession of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance. Tracey Burk and Stephen Burk were charged in connection with the indoor marijuana grow located.

Walker, 40, was charged with class-D felony possession of marijuana over 30 grams and class-D felony maintaining a common nuisance.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Department also obtained and executed a search warrant at a property in Brazil in relationship to this investigation.

The Parke County Sheriff’s Department was assisted in the investigations by members of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department and the Clay County Sheriff’s Department.
