More than 100 citations for underage drinking were issued by police during the Scheid Diesel Extravaganza this past weekend.
Indiana State Excise Police conducted an enforcement initiative saturation patrol in Terre Haute during the event, which attracted thousands of diesel vehicles and their owners to the Vigo County Fairgrounds.
During patrols on Friday and Saturday, officers issued 110 citations for unlawful consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages by minors. Officers also issued six citations for juvenile possession of tobacco, two citations for drug possession, two citations for minor loitering in a liquor store and one citation for possession of false identification.
