TERRE HAUTE —
A decision today by the Terre Haute Parks & Recreation Department moves the Fourth of July celebration back to Fairbanks Park. The celebration will begin at 8 p.m. July 4 at the amphitheater with a performance by the Terre Haute Community Band. Fireworks by Aerial Arts Fireworks will start at dark or at about 10 p.m.
The celebration includes food vendors and glow products for sale by the Parks Department.
For the safety of the large crowd anticipated to attend and the nature of the celebration, the Parks Department reminds visitors that personal fireworks are prohibited in all city parks. The department also asks that visitors leave all pets at home.
The Terre Haute Police Department will be onsite to enforce all park rules and regulations.
