The annual Fontanet Bean Dinner Festival begins at 6 p.m. today with carnival rides, bingo and free beans, and continues through 5 p.m. Sunday. Live entertainment also is scheduled each day. All events take place in Holloway Grove in Fontanet.
Today’s events:
6 to 10 p.m. — carnival rides, pay one price, $12
6 p.m. — midway and flea markets open
6 p.m. until gone — free beans by the bowl
6 p.m. until close — bingo
7:30 to 10:30 p.m. — music by Country Nomads
Saturday events:
6 to 11:45 a.m. — cooking of 2,000 pounds of beans and 300 pounds of bacon
11:45 a.m. — raising of the American flag by Rosedale Post 290
Noon to 2 p.m. — free serving of the beans by the pan (bring your own pan)
2 p.m. until gone — free serving of the beans by the bowl
2 to 5 p.m. — music by Crooked Creek Band
3 to 7 p.m. — Mini Hotrod Tractor Pulls (bring a lawn chair)
6 to 10 p.m. — music by Next In Line
Noon to close — flea markets, bingo, midway

Noon to 3 p.m. — 15th annual Wheels Cruise-in (cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles welcome)
