TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Tuesday and Wednesday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Tuesday

April L. Bealmear, 34, 2100 block of Beech Street, Terre Haute, booked 9:10 a.m. Court order.

James J. Houtsch, 36, 700 block of South Fourth Street, Terre Haute, booked 11:19 a.m. Failure to appear.

James M. King, 21, 7600 block of North Sleepy Lane, Terre Haute, booked 3:04 p.m. Failure to appear.

Bradley E. Vogel, 23, no address given, Coatsville, booked 3:53 p.m. Court order.

Herman D. Shouse, 55, 1600 block of Liberty, Terre Haute, booked 4:22 p.m. Receiving stolen property.

Mary J. Watkins, 40, 3400 block of South Fifth, Terre Haute, booked 4:48 p.m. Criminal conversion.

Joshua A. Shaffer, 25, 1400 block of Third Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 6:41 p.m. Criminal trespass.

Deborah E. Julien, 48, 2000 block of Buckeye, Terre Haute, booked 9:06 p.m. Disorderly conduct.

Ashley L. Washington, 22, 1300 block of North 28th, Terre Haute, booked 9:13 p.m. Interfering with law enforcement.

Wednesday

Stuart S. Zepp, 29, 1000 block of Rainbowview, Urbana, Ill., 12:06 a.m. Operating while intoxicated and public intoxication.

Thadias J. Carpenter, 18, 500 block of South 19th, Terre Haute, booked 1:29 a.m. Criminal recklessness.

Albert A. Liberty, 44, 12900 block of U.S. Hwy 41 South, Terre Haute, booked 3:05 a.m. Failure to appear.

Cory D. Bedwell, 28, 12900 S. Rudisel Street, Pimento, booked 3:08 a.m. Operating while intoxicated and failure to appear.

Breanna D. Vansickle, 23, 2000 block of Chamberlain Street, Terre Haute, booked 4:33 a.m. Operating while intoxicated and possession of controlled substance.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
