TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Friday

Daniel D. Cantu, 33, 1500 block of South 11th Half Street, Terre Haute, booked 9:25 a.m. Failure to appear and driver never licensed.  

Deena R. Hancock, 25, 300 block of Dean Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 10:15 a.m. Failure to appear.

Michael L. Chumley, 30, 2300 block of North 24th Street, Terre Haute, booked 11:10 a.m. Criminal conversion.

Daniel L. Whitesides, 43, 1600 block of Sycamore, Terre Haute, booked 12:03 p.m. Operating while intoxicated.

Theresa Amelunke, 49, 600 block of South Eight Street, Terre Haute, booked 1:50 p.m. Theft.

Evan K. Ward, 26, 1900 block of Locust Street, Terre Haute, booked 2:54 p.m. Probation violation.

Daniel S. Benton, 32, no address given, Terre Haute, booked 3:17 p.m. Failure to register sex/violent offender and probation violation.

Brandy R. Doss, 21, 300 block of South 13th Half Street, Terre Haute, booked 3:48 p.m. Resisting law enforcement.

Lewis R. Ross II, 33, 1300 block of South 11th Half Street, Terre Haute, booked 4:49 p.m. Habitual traffic violator.

Howard Pennell Jr., 20, 10300 block of Chafee Road, Terre Haute, booked 6:21 p.m.  Battery and possession of marijuana.

David L. Akers, 29, 700 block of South 10th Street, West Terre Haute, booked 8:16 p.m. Driving while suspended.

Cory W. Bruce, 22, 1400 block of Third Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 10:12 p.m. Public intoxication.

Ernest Wyrick, 49, 1400 block of Beech Street, Terre Haute, booked 10:58 p.m.  Possession of methamphetamine.

Samuel E. Crowther, 43, 600 1/2 block of Oak Street, Terre Haute, booked 10:59 p.m. Possession of methamphetamine.

Brandon P. White, 24, 3200 block of Harden Avenue, Indianapolis, booked 11:49 p.m. Battery.

Jeremy K. Rich, 29, under the 100th block of Allendale Place, Terre Haute, booked 11:53 p.m. Residential entry.

Colin A. Mchargue, 20, 800 block of South Fourth Street, Terre Haute, booked 7:49 a.m. Minor consuming and public intoxication.

Brian D. Minnick, 38, 2000 block of South Rogers Street, Bloomington, Ind., booked 12:19 p.m. Failure to appear.

Arlo A. Paletis, 28, under the 100th block of South 16th Street, Terre Haute, booked 2:57 a.m. Failure to appear (two counts).

David L. Griffith, 36, 100 block of West Mill Street, Shelburn, booked 3:03 a.m. Possession of marijuana/hash and possession of paraphernalia.

Zackery S. Butler, 18, 700 block of County Road 700 East, Albion, Ill., booked 3:35 a.m. Possession of marijuana/hash.

Phillip A. Batchelor, 19, 200 block of Gilbert, Terre Haute, booked 5:45 a.m. Disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
