Vigo County Jail Log: June 19, 2012

TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Monday and Tuesday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Michael S. Harvey, 22, 1900 block of Dahlen Ave., Terre Haute, was booked at 12:51 p.m. Monday. Probation violation two counts and failure to appear.

Thomas Taft II, 25, 4000 block of E. CR 350 South, Sullivan, was booked at 1:58 p.m. Monday. Court order two counts.

Carlton L. Rasor, 41, 500 block of S. College, Terre Haute, was booked at 2:30 p.m. Monday. Contempt of court.

 Anthony I. Griswold, 31, 4300 block of S. Spring Acres St., Terre Haute, was booked at 3:21 p.m. Monday. Theft, forgery, possession of methamphetamine two counts and fraud.

Cody J. Mumbower, 22, 100 block of South Fourth, Farmersburg, was booked at 4:01 p.m. Monday. Failure to appear.

Stephanie Barr, 33, 200 block of W. Polk, Shelburn, was booked at 4:56 p.m. Monday. Failure to appear.

Loyal F. Cox, 49, 1600 block of First Ave., Terre Haute, was booked at 6:04 p.m. Monday. Battery.

Charles A. Shaffer, 22, 500 block of South Fourth St., Terre Haute, was booked at 2:32 a.m. Tuesday. Operating while intoxicated.

 Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
