TERRE HAUTE — Updated 3:55 p.m.:
As of 3:31 p.m. EST, Greene County Board of Commissioners declared a Snow Emergency for Greene County.
Greene County Highway Superintendent has said the county road are impassable. He has three trucks wrecked and predicts the county roads will not be open until Friday. All county roads are closed except to emergency traffic. This remains in effect until further notice. He requests only emergency personnel to be on roads. Unless it is an emergency please stay off the roads.

REMC reports 440 customers without power near the hamlet Newark in North Eastern Greene County. REMC works are getting through to outages, but due to snow it is slow going.
Also in Linton, six inches of snow have been reported. Greene County Sheriff reports many problems with motorists due to road conditions.
County Roads remain closed.
The Greene County board of commissioners president has declared a Level III warning travel advisory. All Greene County roads are closed. They are open only to emergency service workers and private health care workers or any other emergency travel. This will remain in effect until further notice.
The Greene County Courthouse will remain open, according to Roger Axe, director of the Greene County Emergency Management Agency.
