Police looking for two suspects after early morning gas station robbery

TERRE HAUTE — Police are seeking two suspects in the early morning robbery of the Marathon gas station at 1831 N. Third St.

About 12:40 a.m., two female suspects believed to be in their late teens or early 20s entered the business, showed a black handgun to the clerk and demanded money. The suspects were wearing hoodies and their faces were covered, said Detective Dale Blunk of the Terre Haute Police Department.

The two suspects fled the area on foot.

Blunk also stated that the suspects were “fairly bold” in their holdup. He said it is the first armed robbery by females that he has investigated in eight years.

Police are reviewing surveillance video and following leads in the case.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call THPD at (812) 238-1661.
