Nashville artist in Terre Haute for Veterans Day parade, donation to Officer Long family

TERRE HAUTE — Nashville recording artist and 2006 American Idol finalist Bucky Covington will take part in Veterans Day activities Friday in Terre Haute, said Terre Haute Fire Chief Jeffery W. Fisher today in a release.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. at Fourth and Cherry streets. Covington will be riding on a THFD fire truck, the release states.

After the parade, Mickey Milam of Bleve Entertainment Group said Covington will present a check to the family of fallen Terre Haute Police Officer Brent Long, made possible from the sale of CDs published by Randy Owen, former lead singer for the country music group Alabama.
