TERRE HAUTE —
State Rep. Bob Heaton (R–Terre Haute) has been appointed to serve as chair of the Indiana Commission on Autism. He will also serve as a member of the Interim Study Committee on Insurance.
“I am honored to serve as chair of the Indiana Commission on Autism this interim,” Heaton said. “These committees give us a chance to dive into areas and topics that need further examining to see where we need to focus and put our energies. I look forward to leading this committee.”
Heaton previously served as a member of the Indiana Commission on Autism. This is his first term as chair.
Heaton will also be a member of the Interim Study Committee on Insurance.
Every year after the legislative session is completed, the Legislative Council meets to assign topics for study between sessions and to establish any interim committee needed to examine an issue.
A list of assigned committees, members and what the committees are charged with studying can be found at www.in.gov/legislative/house_republicans/.
