TERRE HAUTE — The following individuals were booked into the Vigo County Jail by area law enforcement on Tuesday and Wednesday, based on jail records. Charges are recommended by arresting officers but are not final until the Vigo County prosecutor reviews the case and files official charges.

Tuesday

Amber D. Torres, 20, 2400 block of First Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 10:43 a.m. Failure to appear.

Richard L. Epple, 25, 2100 block of North 13 1/2 Street, Terre Haute, booked 11:57 a.m. Court order.

John Taylor, 25, Shelburn, booked 2:21 p.m. Failure to appear.

Mark A. Smith, 39, 1500 block of East Harlan Drive, Terre Haute, booked 2:34 p.m. Battery.

Maurice Adams, 39, 2300 block of First Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 3:59 p.m. Invasion of privacy, possession of marijuana.

Scott D. Collins, 49, Statesman Inn, Terre Haute, booked 4:23 p.m. Failure to appear.

Phillip D. Heck, 24, 1400 block of Elm Street, Terre Haute, booked 4:38 p.m. Probation violation.

Chelsea A. Johnson, 22, 1800 block of South Hendricks, Terre Haute, booked 4:55 p.m. Public intoxication, domestic battery.

Kileb Denderth, 34, Plainview, Texas, booked 5:02 p.m. Court order.

Gary Lee Julian, 45, 3100 block of Fenwood Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 6 p.m. Court order.

David L. Bealmear, 38, 1700 block of North 12th Street, Terre Haute, booked 8:17 p.m. Resisting law enforcement.

Timothy Kutzberger, 29, no address, booked 9:40 p.m. Court order.

Timothy Prairie, 28, no address, booked 9:50 p.m. Court order.

Atrinity Porter, 32, no address, booked 10 p.m. Court order.

Joseph Carrier, 39, Augusta, Ga., booked 10:58 p.m. Public intoxication.

Shane N. Cox, 28, 1400 block of North Avenue, Terre Haute, booked 11:13 p.m. Public intoxication, failure to appear.

Wednesday

Jennifer S. Perry, 33, Charlston, Ill, booked 1:51 a.m. Public intoxication, disorderly conduct.

Matthew C. Stieglitz, 28, 1100 block of South Sixth Street, Terre Haute, booked 2:41 a.m. Battery.

Lamar M. Brown, 21, 300 block of South 13th Street, Terre Haute, booked 3:22 a.m. Domestic battery, invasion of privacy, strangulation.

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
