SULLIVAN
No signs of foul play are apparent in the death of a Tennessee man found Saturday in his parked car at a Sullivan County gas station.
Donald R. Blake, 52, of Dover, Tenn., was discovered slumped across the console on the driver’s side of his car by an employee of The Junction at U.S. 41 and Indiana 48 in Shelburn.
Coroner Jeff Griffith estimated Blake had been dead for 36 to 48 hours. Relatives told Griffith that Blake had been visiting in the Chicago area and was returning home at the time of his death.
An autopsy was performed Monday at Terre Haute Regional Hospital by forensic pathologist and Vigo County Coroner Dr. Roland Kohr. A toxicology report is pending, but Kohr said there were no signs of foul play.
The cause of death remains under investigation.
