TERRE HAUTE —
Springhill Drive is closed this morning between Fagin and Houseman streets until a new utility pole can replace one broken earlier today in an auto accident.
Sgt. Clay White of the Vigo County Sheriff's Department reports that at 5:12 a.m., an eastbound vehicle driven by Madison Sullivan of Terre Haute swerved to miss a deer and struck the utility pole at the intersection of Hilltop Court and Springhill Drive.
Sullivan was the only occupant of the vehicle and was transported to Union Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, White reports.
