Illinois police seek help in identifying man’s remains found March 2012

EFFINGHAM, Ill. — The Illinois State Police Zone 7 Investigations Effingham, Jasper County Sheriff's Department, and the Jasper County Coroner’s Office request assistance in the identification of a man whose partial remains were found in rural Newton in Jasper County, Ill., on March 10, 2012.

It is believed the man could be caucasian, Asian, Native American or Hispanic/Latino. It also is estimated that he was 35 to 50 years old, and about 5 feet, 3 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall.

The Federal Bureau of Identification completed a facial approximation of how the individual may have looked.
