TERRE HAUTE —
Property owners along Hulman Street near Fruitridge Avenue this week will receive “door tags” announcing the start of a project to improve storm drainage.
Work includes installation of new curbs and street gutters to improve drainage.
“We will redo the intersection of Fruitridge and Hulman, then proceed west from there on Hulman Street to Thompson Ditch,” said City Engineer Chuck Ennis.
S&T Construction has been awarded a $716,000 contract for the construction project.
“We’ve got a real aggressive schedule on this. This will be done before the snow flies,” Ennis said. “Barricades will start showing up soon.”
