Putnamville — Judy Gary, 51, of Tarpon Springs, Fla., was arrested for attempting to traffic with an inmate Tuesday at the Putnamville Correctional Facility.
When Correctional Officer Sherry Wilson frisk-searched Gary as she arrived at the facility to visit with an offender, she found what appeared to be a plastic bag containing marijuana on Gary.
The officer confiscated the item and notified internal affairs staff, who conducted a field test of the item revealing that it was marijuana.
Indiana State Police was notified and arrested Gary and transported her to the Putnam County Jail. She is being charged with trafficking, a class-C felony.
