Staunton — Two Terre Haute residents are in the Clay County Jail for their alleged involvement in a meth lab at the Chinook Fishing and Wildlife Area near Staunton.
Jody L. Presslor, 32, and Shelly Green, 23, were arrested Saturday and both were formally charged Tuesday in Clay Circuit Court. They both faces charges of class-B felony dealing methamphetamine, the class-D felonies of possession of methamphetamine, possession of precursors, illegal possession of anhydrous ammonia, maintaining a common nuisance, and class-A misdemeanors of possession of paraphernalia and illegal transport and storage of anhydrous ammonia.
Preliminary not-guilty pleas were entered for both Presslor and Green, and their trials were set for Oct. 5 with pre-trial hearings on June 29.
Bail for Green was set at $25,000 with 10 percent allowed. Bail for Presslor was set at $25,000, 10 percent not allowed.
A meth lab was discovered Thursday at the wildlife area by Indiana conservation officers and the Clay County Sheriff's Department. The Indiana State Police clandestine lab team was called in to clean up the meth lab operation.
