ROCKVILLE — Two men remain in jail after Parke and Clay county authorities seized drugs, firearms and stolen properties at their homes Thursday.
According to a media release issued by the Parke County Sheriff’s Department, a search warrant at the home of James “Tad” Forrest, 33, 5320 S. Martin Road, Carbon, produced reportedly stolen firearms, a Kubota RTV900 utility vehicle, an ATV and several power tools.
According to the release, Forrest was arrested about 7 p.m. Thursday on a class-B felony allegation of possession of firearms by a serious, violent felon and a class-D felony allegation of receiving stolen property.
He remained in the Parke County Jail Friday with bail at $50,000.
In conjunction with the Forrest investigation, the Parke and Clay County sheriffs’ departments arrested Joe Sanders of Brazil on allegations of maintaining a common nuisance and possession of marijuana.
According to the release, Sanders was presented with a search warrant, which produced methamphetamine, marijuana, several firearms, an ATV and a motorcycle.
Sanders remained in the Clay County Justice Center with bail at $10,000.
