NBC's Jane Pauley campaigning for Democrats on Tuesday in Sullivan; Terre Haute stop cancelled

On Tuesday, NBC's Jane Pauley, former co-host of "Today" and "Dateline," will campaign on behalf of the Obama-Biden ticket and other Democrats on the ballot this fall in Sullivan, Vincennes and Evansville.

Pauley, a native Hoosier, is best known for her 13 years as on NBC’s "Today," during which the show rose to become the number-one morning show in the country. Later, she co-hosted the top-rated "Dateline" news magazine and became deputy anchor to Tom Brokaw for the "NBC Nightly News." Pauley graduated from Warren Central High School in Indianapolis and Indiana University. Before joining the NBC news team in 1976, she worked as a local newscaster at WISH-TV in Indianapolis and then became the first woman to anchor the evening news at Chicago’s WMAQ-TV.
