BLOOMFIELD — Indiana State Police were investigating the shooting death of a Bloomfield man that occurred Thursday afternoon.
According to a media release issued by the ISP, Everett M. Smith, 58, Bloomfield, was pronounced dead at Bloomington Hospital on Thursday after being found shot while outside his home just south of Indiana 54 on Greene County Road 950 East.
The death is being investigated by Detective Brad Stille, assisted by Detectives Sgt. Jeff Deckard and Kevin Getz. The Greene County Sheriff's Department, county Prosecutor Jarrod Holtsclaw and the Monroe County Coroner’s office have assisted.
