OWEN COUNTY — A late morning crash Wednesday in Owen County took the life of a Clay County man.
According to an Indiana State Police report today, Alexander Fulk, 20, of 1760 N. County Road 25 West, Center Point, was pronounced dead at the scene by a representative of the Owen County Coroner's office.
Indiana State Police responded to a report of a serious crash at about 11:35 a.m. Wednesday at Indiana 246 and Steubenville Road near Patricksburg.
The investigation revealed that a 1997 Triumph motorcycle was westbound on SR 246 near Steubenville Road when the driver, Fulk, lost control in a patch of gravel.
The motorcycle then slid out from underneath him, crossing over into the eastbound lane of SR 246, striking an oncoming eastbound vehicle.
The crash was investigated by Trooper Mike Adams of the ISP. He was assisted by the Owen County EMS, Owen County Sheriff's Department and the Owen County Coroner's office.
