Daniels also announced the appointment of Randall K. Minas of Crown Point. Minas is a senior vice president with Merrill Lynch in Merrillville.

The governor made the announcement during the Indiana Black Expo 38th Annual Summer Celebration Governor’s Reception at the Indiana State House.

Bell, who lives in Brownsburg, earned her undergraduate degree in social studies education from ISU in 1997. Before being named as Black Expo president and CEO early this year, she was assistant general counsel for community Health Network of Indianapolis. She also is executive vice chairwoman of the boards of both Princess Power Ministries Ltd. and Earth Angels, Inc.

Minas earned his undergraduate degree in management from ISU in 1975. He is the founder of Culver Coffee Co., which is now run by his daughter, who is a 2003 ISU graduate. Last year, a gift from Mr. Minas’ foundation endowed the Randall and Nancy Minas Center for Investment and Financial Education at ISU.

The terms of Bell and Minas begin immediately and expire on June 30, 2012.

They replace Barbara House of Indianapolis and Richard Shagley of Terre Haute.
