PALESTINE, Ill. — A small aircraft went down Monday evening near Palestine, Ill., with injuries to its pilot, according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department in Robinson, Ill.
It could not be determined by press time if the plane crashed or landed.
The pilot was taken by helicopter ambulance to a hospital, with no identification available late Monday. No one else was reportedly onboard the aircraft, Sheriff’s Department officials said.
The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. Illinois time, police officials said.
