Obama campaign makes tickets available Friday in Terre Haute for Dave Matthews voter registration concert in Bloomington

TERRE HAUTE — To accommodate overwhelming demand, U.S. Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign is expanding the seating capacity for the Dave Matthews voter registration concert in Indiana University Assembly Hall in Bloomington to 13,500, making 5,500 more tickets available. The campaign also is adding Terre Haute and Muncie to its list of ticket locations Friday, the Indiana for Obama Press Office announced this afternoon.

Additionally, tickets are now limited to one per person. The change will encourage more individual Hoosiers to come to the campaign’s offices to register to vote.

Matthews, a Grammy Award winner, and his longtime collaborator, acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Tim Reynolds, will perform in Bloomington on Sunday, April 6, to urge Hoosiers to register to vote in Indiana’s May 6 primary. Tickets are free and can be obtained at the locations listed below. The last day to register to vote is April 7.
