Driver dead at scene of single-car accident in Sullivan County
TERRE HAUTE — One person was killed in a single-vehicle accident Monday near the Vigo-Sullivan County line, authorities said.
The accident occurred on Indiana 63 in Sullivan County, less than one mile from the Vigo County line, said Eric Cox, communications supervisor for the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department.
The driver was dead at the scene, he said. The vehicle left the road and tumbled, ejecting the driver, police said.
A call about the accident came in about 7:24 p.m. Monday, Cox said. No additional details were available.
Police had not released the name of the driver by Tribune-Star press time, saying they were in the process of notifying family members.
