TERRE HAUTE — A Terre Haute man faces a charge of class-A felony child molestation after his arrest Tuesday for an incident that allegedly occurred last year.
Brad A. Locke, 22, appeared in Vigo Superior Court 3 on Wednesday, where Judge David Bolk found probable cause for his arrest.
An investigation by Terre Haute Police determined that Locke allegedly molested a 4-year-old girl at her home while the child’s mother was at work sometime between March 20 and Aug. 11, 2009. The child told her father, who reported the incident to police.
Locke is being held in the Vigo County jail with bail set at $75,000, with no 10 percent allowed.
A public defender was appointed to represent him against the allegation. A trial date will be set today, and formal charges are to be filed by Monday.
