Could vaccines be making this worse?
I don’t understand the conditions of the current requirement to keep students out of school if they don’t get a second vaccination for chickenpox while those who have gotten new vaccinations are allowed to stay in school. Are the newly vaccinated still harboring a catchable state of the germ? Isn’t that why pregnant women, elderly and other vulnerable person (might be) told to stay away from any newly vaccinated person, because they can pass on the germ for that disease to them?
Isn’t this what vaccines are supposed to do, generate a light case of the disease to stimulate the immune system to stop fatal cases from occurring in those vaccinated? Are the cases of chickenpox still growing because the newly vaccinated persons have been in close contact with their peers who were vulnerable? And that includes those already vaccinated once.
I saw a doctor on TV when this epidemic first started but only got to the news for part of her explanation about vaccines — the part about attenuated vaccines, which is weakened live germs. Didn’t hear all of her explanation but online it says all chickenpox vaccine is attenuated, or diluted active live virus. So I’d think that would make anyone receiving this type of vaccine a volatile carrier.
Perhaps all the kids who were made to take another vaccine should have been the ones to stay at home, not out in public, but at home for a week or 21 days or whatever their vaccines’ time of activeness may be.
Otherwise, it looks as if our system has created their own spreading epidemic.
