Government health care reform on face value sounds benevolent, pro-health and pro-American. It is meant to sound like that. The government wants us to believe that unless it directs and controls the health care system, Americans will he hurt and victimized by their doctor and have no access to medical treatment. When Rep. Brad Ellsworth positions himself in favor of government health care reform by voting yes to the House version of government health care reform, he is positioning himself to be viewed as looking out for people’s medical interests. Unfortunately, this is true. He wants to be viewed as looking out for people’s medical interests. But in reality, he is not looking out for people’s medical interests.
A government control of the health care industry cannot work when each individual can choose their doctor. It would break down a government run health care system. Either individuals choose their doctors or the government must. The two systems are incompatible. The same applies to doctors and the government. Either the doctor determines the manner of treatment for a patient or the government must. It can only be one or the other, because the two systems are incompatible.
When the freedom to choose your doctor and the method of medical treatment for you by your doctor are taken away, you will not know that you lost your choices until after they government has taken them away. Then it is too late. The sad thing about this is all the warnings people are given before this ever happens. Rep. Brad Ellsworth is in the forefront of eliminating our rights as American citizens, as patients and as doctors.

Nov. 11 edition a great display of U.S. freedoms
What a beautiful display of a free country and the heartfelt expression that our First Amendment allows … such was the case of the editorial section on Nov. 11.
SSG Padgett sends prayers from himself and Task Force 41 for a local hero, Julie Plasse expressed her respect and admiration for the president of the U.S. … all the while expressing her opinion. Yes Julie, you and your family and the chief are admired and prayed for, I encourage all churches to add Chief Plasse and family to your prayer list till his return.
The editor’s piece was thoughtful and brilliant up until the start of his true colors shining through … the injections of politically correct about a “careful investigation” and the president making “prudent decisions”… Sir, those agencies and individuals that overlooked a Muslim extremist should have their heads and hind ends exposed and tanned and “we the people” should know and not ever have painted a rosy picture, facts about who these people are, they want us dead and are willing to kill their own and anyone else to achieve their objective … and I, like Mrs. Plasse, respect and honor the office of the president, and, like her, I question his timing, and lack of regard to the advice of a true professional and request of generals on the ground.
For the beautiful poems of Mr. Maher, thank you … for the well written whine of Gary Daily, thank you, my neck is sore from shaking and cheeks hurt from giggling. As a veteran, son of a veteran, father of a veteran and brother of a sister that only saw her now-retired Marine Corps husband five Christmases in 23 years of service, we as a family salute and thank our veterans and their families, God bless and God speed.

Galloway Photo steps up for MADD
On behalf of Wabash Valley Mothers Against Drunk Driving, I would like to say “thank you” to Galloway Photo. I came across some MADD informational/educational videos on VHS tapes. A member of MADD contacted Galloway Photo and the VHS tapes were converted to DVDs at no charge. Now we can continue to use these videos that otherwise would have been obsolete. Thank you Galloway Photo.
