Optimists happy with tree support

As many of you are aware, the Terre Haute Breakfast Optimists sold Christmas trees again this year, as we have for over 30 years at the corner of Seventh and Margaret. This is our major fundraiser and with the money raised we are able to provide support to the youth in our community.

In past years, we’ve used these funds to host a youth Oratorical Contest,  provided school supplies to those in need, supported local food banks, sponsored scholarships, supported the local Junior Police Academy, provided funding for SADD games at Rose-Hulman, as well as many other activities.

None of this would be possible without the gracious help of many local businesses. We would like to thank Ragle & Co. (for providing the space for our lot), A-1 Sanitation Services, Double B Fence, Republic Waste Disposal, Durr’s Towing, You-Store-It, and the tellers of the Southland branch of First Financial Bank. Without their kind support, our Christmas tree sales could not be a success.

Finally, we’d like to thank you, our patrons. We know that you have many places to buy a tree, but many of you have made supporting the Optimists a tradition and come back year after year. We truly look forward to seeing you each year and hope to see you again next year.
