TERRE HAUTE —
Music needed for school song
I am a lifelong resident of Terre Haute and a proud graduate of Terre Haute Garfield High School. This past summer my graduating class of 1966 held its 45th reunion, where we sang the school song, “Purple and White.” Since then, I have been trying to find a copy of the written sheet music. I have contacted many people and so far no one has the music or knows where I can find it. It was written by Russel McCoy, assisted by John Moore and officially adopted in January of 1939.

Blaze away, O Eagles in your flight,
soaring on and up until you reach the height.
