Pence teaching us about himself

I would simply like to add my name to the growing list of conservative valuers who were so very much pleased to learn that Mr. Mike Pence and his wife actually went on a first date before they decided to get married. How great is that!? What a great story. What a great guy. What a great television ad. What a wonderful surprise.

And then, in a massive display of gubernatorialism, Mr. Pence had the courage to stand up and say that he supports the troops. Please remember, most politicians like to stand up and say they think the troops are stinko. (Not Mr. Pence!)

And then, Mr. Pence comes out and tells us he once had a job but then he lost it, so now we have to tighten our belts some more. Who doesn’t look forward to that?

All of this information is very convincing as to how great a guy Mr. Mike Pence truly is. So, you know, when he is forced to start coming out later with those angry attack ads it will be only because those rascally liberals must have done something really rascally this time. I mean, otherwise, why would nice Mr. Angry Pence be attacking them in such a firm but angry manner?

Those TV ads make me feel as though Mr. Pence is my buddy now.

One final note: Do you know what supports the troops, what REALLY, truly supports the troops? It’s quite simple. I’ll tell you what supports the troops. It’s taxes. Taxes is what supports the troops. And we all know who hates taxes.

Impressed with Romney VP choice

As one of millions of Americans, I am very much impressed with Congressman Paul Ryan.

In my view, he is an expert in the division of economics which deals with government budgetary issues. Gov. Romney’s decision to select Mr. Ryan for the candidacy of vice president of the United States, speaks volumes of Mr. Romney’s expertise as a CEO of companies or as a future president of our country.

As I observe the professional chemistry (the harmonious interaction) between these two leaders, I am reminded of a term in pharmacology (which I studied many, many years ago): Synergism. In evaluating pharmaceutical preparations, the goal is often to achieve a total effect which is greater than the sum of the individual effects.

As an average observer of the national political scene, I, truly, feel proud as an American, when I see Paul Ryan’s rallies on TV, the “sea” of red, white and blue flutter as far as the eyes can see.

In closing, if I may, I would like to borrow a short phrase (headline) from the great Charles Krauthammer column (Aug. 16): “Romney’s present, Ryan’s future.”
