Indiana State’s Exline elected to CASE board

TERRE HAUTE — Teresa Exline of Indiana State University has been elected to the board of trustees of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. CASE is an international nonprofit organization that serves education advancement professionals including alumni relations, communications, marketing and development.

The 30-member CASE board sets policies, approves the annual budget and ensures sound management of the organization that has 3,400 member colleges, universities and schools in 61 countries.

Exline, who is special assistant to the president for internal relations at Indiana State, will represent CASE District Five, which includes Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin. She has previously served CASE as a past district chair and district conference chair.

Prior to her current position, she served Indiana State as assistant vice president for communications and marketing, executive director of public affairs, director of public affairs and director of promotion and special events.

Prior to joining Indiana State, Exline worked as an editor and copywriter with Shepard-Poorman Communications Corp. in Indianapolis and as a reporter and then editor at the Sullivan Daily Times. Exline holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Indiana University and resides in Sullivan.

Exline will join other newly elected CASE board members in taking office immediately following the board meeting Saturday in New York. She will serve a three-year term.
