Riverton Parke outscored South Vermillion 14-5 over the final 4:14 to win Game 7 of the Pizza Hut Wabash Valley Classic by a score of 57-44.
Riverton Parke led 16-15, 29-22 35-34 at the three quarter breaks. South Vermillion’s Drue Strayer tied the score 39-39 with 4:14 left in the contest.
Riverton Parke’s Adam Wilson countered with a three-point play that allowed the Panthers to pull away. Daniel Organ scored two points then stole the ball and passed to Haltom for a bucket and Organ capped the 9-0 run with a basket off a feed from Haltom, giving the Panthers a 48-39 cushion with 1:58 left in the game.
Haltom led Riverton Parke with 19 points and Organ had 10. South Vermillion’s Kaden Lawson, Jordan Branz and Strayer led each scored seven points to lead the Wildcats.
