CAYUGA — Adrianne Francis can’t get well soon enough for the Turkey Run girls high school basketball team.
Class A’s fourth-ranked Warriors lost their second close game without their starting center in three nights Thursday, falling 45-42 in overtime to Rockville as 6-foot-3 Beth Mahurin had 13 points, 23 rebounds and eight blocked shots for the Rox.
Rockville plays host North Vermillion in Saturday’s championship game. The Falcons defeated Riverton Parke 57-24 in the other semifinal game Thursday.
Hillary Woodard led Rockville with 14 points and Lindsey Greene added 11. Jordan Hunt had a game-high 15 points for Turkey Run, which plays Riverton Parke in Saturday’s 6 p.m. opener.
Hillary Lively led North Vermillion to its second victory of the season with 19 points, while Taylor Turchi added 13. Sheldan Falls scored eight and Sara Dickey seven for the Panthers.
