Prep football roundup: Riverton Parke reverses fortune at Covington

Covington — Riverton Parke rebounded from a 45-6 loss on its home field to the same Covington team just last week to post a 26-0 shutout victory Friday in Class A Sectional 39.

Blake Price ran and passed for a touchdown, and Jeremy Helton led the rushing attack with 127 yards and a touchdown. Tyler Yando had 78 yards rushing and a touchdown.

• Linton 68, Tecumseh 13 — At Lynnville, the visiting Miners cruised to 7-3 with an emphatic road victory at Tecumseh in a Class A Sectional 40 game. Linton will play host to North Knox next Friday.

• North Knox 28, Union 8 — At Dugger, the host Bulldogs finished their season with a 3-7 record as North Knox advanced to play at Linton next Friday.

• South Spencer 30, Sullivan 20 — At Sullivan, Class 2A No. 5 South Spencer had trouble with the Golden Arrows, but prevailed in a Class 2A Sectional 32 game. Sullivan finished its season 4-6 and lost in the first round of the sectional for the fourth consecutive season.

• Mount Carmel 43, Robinson 14 — At Robinson, Maroons quarterback Jimmy Stevens hit on 13 of 26 passing for 104 yards, but Mount Carmel ran for 383 yards.
