Prep roundup: Clay City knocks off Class 2A No. 5 Linton

LINTON — Clay City pulled within a half game of first-place Linton in the SouthWestern Indiana Athletic Conference with a 53-50 boys high school basketball victory Friday.

Trevor Singer paced the Eels (12-7, 6-2 SWIAC) with 14 points.

Dess Fougerousse and Austin Karazsia had 18 points apiece for the Miners.

• Sullivan 58, Bloomfield 42 — At Sullivan, Brooks Weszely poured in 18 points to lead Sullivan to its 17th victory of the boys high school basketball season, a 58-42 win over Bloomfield.

Ian Perkinson chipped in a season-high 11 for the Golden Arrows.

The Lions had a 16-2 after one period and were up 30-10 at halftime.

Thomas Sisson led the winners with 21 points and had four steals. Walker Berner had 12 points and Taylor Mauer had nine points and five rebounds.

Marshall closes the regular season with Senior Night action Friday against Neoga.
