GREENCASTLE —
Playing indoors at DePauw University’s tennis facility because of rain Tuesday, Terre Haute South earned the right to advance into today’s IHSAA regional championship match by blanking Crawfordsville 5-0 in the semifinal round.
Meanwhile, Fountain Central defeated Northview 4-1 in the other semifinal match, which took place at Crawfordsville. Singles and doubles results from that match were not available to the Tribune-Star.
That means South and Fountain Central will square off for the regional title at 4:45 p.m. today at Crawfordsville High School.
In the state singles tournament, Terre Haute North senior Tate Egan knocked off Greencastle’s Landon Miller 6-0, 6-0 at DePauw. Egan (17-4) will play again today at 4:45 p.m. at Crawfordsville, weather permitting.
