Class A’s fifth-ranked high school baseball team finally gave up some runs this week, but three Shakamak pitchers combined to beat visiting Vincennes Rivet 5-4 on Thursday anyway.
The Lakers had won a pair of 1-0 games earlier in the week, one of those in 12 innings. On Thursday, the visiting Patriots scored two quick runs in the first inning and even hit a pair of homers, but the home team got run-scoring hits by winning pitcher Brodie Crowe, Brent Yeryar and Luke Sweet in improving to 8-1 for the year.

Lisman also had a triple and three RBIs and Cameron McNeely was 3 for 3 with two triples and three runs for the winners.
