TERRE HAUTE —
High school football practice began Monday in Indiana, with Terre Haute North and Terre Haute South getting in a pair of morning workouts and West Vigo practicing in the afternoon and evening. South, which won its first three games last fall before losing its last seven, hopes to have better health this year in support of all-state quarterback candidate Danny Etling. North, which lost in overtime to the Braves, finished 2-8 but has an experienced senior class that’s already earned two Division I scholarships and could get more. West Vigo, which bounced back from losing its first two games by a combined 90-0 to contend for Western Indiana Conference honors in a 4-7 campaign, is obviously hoping for a better start to the 2012 season.
