Coaches’ quotes — Boehler on his squad: “We’ve struggled a little bit the last two weekends. So we’ve gone back to the basics at practice and started focusing on ourselves to get us mentally prepared for this big weekend.”
Boehler on playing the Mustangs: “Their record is very deceiving. They play a very good schedule. Since I’ve been here, we’ve never beaten Edgewood… They’re not huge, but they all have decent size with long arms and they’re one of the better defensive teams I’ve seen this season, so it will be a big challenge for us.”
Boehler on playing the Huskies: “They’re very athletic, probably the most athletic team on our schedule. They like to shoot a lot of 3s. They’ve had a lot of different guys who score at different times… We will have to be very good defensively against them.”
Farmer on his squad: “We started off 0-7 and lost four games at the end. We played everybody well. From the first of the year, we won three out of five games. So I think we’re a team that’s better than our record. But you gotta know how to win at the end and obviously we’re struggling with that part.”
Farmer on playing the Vikings: “I think West Vigo is a lot like us. We’re not real big. We don’t have a true post player and we’re scrappy. One thing about West Vigo, if you don’t guard them from about 20 feet out, they’ll make you pay.”
Bunnell on his squad: “I feel like we’re getting better and we’re starting to zero in on our best basketball. I felt like the other night against Henderson, we played really well for 32 minutes… Offensively, when we share the ball and we don’t turn it over, we have a chance to be a pretty good team.”
Bunnell on playing the Vikings: “I thought they’ve had really good guard play. We know going up there and beating them at their place will be a tough chore.”
