PARIS, Ill. —
Marshall got its seventh victory of the season in boys basketball Friday night, taking a 68-47 decision from Paris.
Marshall scored the first 19 points of the game and had a 19-2 lead at the first stop as Riley Spencer got the only Paris basket in the final 30 seconds of the quarter.
Six players scored for the Lions in the first period.
Marshall used a 12-2 run to open up a 38-10 lead in the second stanza and fronted 41-14 at the half.
Spencer had eight of the first 10 points for Paris and finished with a game-high 23 points and 10 rebounds.
Four players were in double figures for 7-3 Marshall.
Cray Bloodworth led the way with 14 points. Drew Morris and Walker Berner each had 13 and Taylor Maurer 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Thomas Sisson had five rebounds, six steals and six assists for the winners.
The Lions will have a short break before opening play in the Pizza Hut Wabash Valley Classic against West Vigo on Wednesday.
