WEST TERRE HAUTE —
Friends and neighbors have planned a benefit for Richard Navel (Dickey Bird), who was severely injured Sept. 29, in an ATV accident while on a benefit ride for Riley Children’s Hospital.
Navel is currently in rehab in Indianapolis for possibly eight weeks of treatment for injuries sustained in the wreck. The benefit will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Tecumseh Tavern, 129 Durkees Ferry Road in West Terre Haute.
Many food items are being prepared for a free-will donation and will served throughout the day. A live auction followed by entertainment by The Country Music Makers is also planned.
