  In high school baseball little things mean a lot, and the crack in the door doesn’t have to be open very wide.
  Terre Haute North burst through that crack in the bottom of the second inning Wednesday evening at Terre Haute South, scoring seven two-out runs and going on to a surprisingly easy 12-2 victory over the host Braves.

• Compassionate Friends Clark County, Ill., support group for parents, grandparents and siblings that have lost a child of any age or in any capacity including miscarriage, meets first Tuesday of the month at Armstrong United Methodist Church, 18500 N. Vigo County

• Diabetes Support Group, 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, third floor lounge, Union Hospital Professional Office Building, 1530 N. Seventh St. Call (812) 238-7577.

• Journey’s Support Group, bereavement support group meets 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Vigo County Public Library. Call (812) 234-2515.

• RTS Bereavement Services, for families who have lost a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death. Meets 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Landsbaum Center for Health Education, 1433 N. 61⁄2 St. The program will be “How Do I Know If I’m Stuck.” Call (812) 238-4978.
