Hospice hosting ‘Run and Remember’ fundraiser

TERRE HAUTE — Hospice of the Wabash Valley will be hosting a “Run and Remember” fundraising event at 11 a.m. Saturday at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.

The event will include a 10K run, 5K walk or run, and a “fun” walk or run for people of all ages. Each participant in the fun run will receive a medal and a T-shirt.

The top two male and female finishers in each category will receive a medal, as will the top overall finishers. Participants in the 10K and 5K event will also receive a long-sleeve dri-fit shirt. The entrance fee is $30 for the 10K, $25 for the 5K and $10 for the fun run.

Hospice of the Wabash Valley is a not-for-profit agency that provides care for people of all ages facing a life-limiting illness, regardless of the patient’s income.

Special shirt bibs will be available for runners and walkers to wear in memory or in honor of someone special.

The goal of the event is to create community awareness about how Hospice of the Wabash Valley cares for friends and neighbors during some of the most difficult times in their lives. For further questions or to help sponsor this event, contact Hospice of the Wabash Valley at 812-234-2515. To download a registration form, visit www.myhospicevna.org.
