  UPDATE 4: Deadly tornado roars through Oklahoma City suburb

  A monstrous tornado at least a half-mile wide roared through the Oklahoma City suburbs Monday, flattening entire neighborhoods and destroying an elementary school with a direct blow as children and teachers huddled against winds up to 200 mph. At least 51 people were killed, and officials said the death toll was expected to rise.

• Compassionate Friends Clark County, Ill., support group for parents, grandparents and siblings that have lost a child of any age or in any capacity including miscarriage, meets Tuesday at Armstrong United Methodist Church, 18500 N. Armstrong Road, Marshall, Ill., (812) 251-7816.

Vigo County

• Diabetes Support Group will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Collett Park. Those attending should bring a drink, a snack and wear comfortable shoes for walking. For more information call (812) 238-7577.

• Journey’s Support Group, bereavement support group meets 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Vigo County Public Library. Call (812) 234-2515.
