Learn about heart health at Dine with a Doc

Senior Education Ministries, Inc. has scheduled its next Dine with a Doc-Terre Haute from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Wabash Senior Citizen’s Center at 300 S. Fifth St.

In recognition of National Heart Health Awareness Month this month’s guest will be Karen Grissom discussing risk factors for heart disease, how to decrease your risk factors, what to expect if you go to an emergency room with chest pain, how diabetes relates to heart disease, and special considerations for women with heart disease.

Grissom has worked in an emergency department for more than 15 years and has held her certification in emergency nursing since 2006.

She is currently the educator for the Terre Haute Regional Hospital emergency department.

Grissom will be accompanied by Dr. Tony Nasser who will conduct a question-and-answer session following her presentation.

Lunch will be provided from Fazoli’s by Regional Hospital.

There will be an opening prayer and veterans will be recognized for their service.

Various health care providers will be present to share information along with a wellness clinic by Robin Collins with Springhill Village.

Seating is limited and reservations are required. Call 812-232-3245.
