Health Tour to visit Terre Haute this week

TERRE HAUTE — The Walgreens Way to Well Health Tour with AARP will be visiting Terre Haute this week, providing health tests, education and consulting services for free. This mobile health bus and a certified wellness staff and spokesperson will be at:

• Walgreens, 3603 S. U.S. 41, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday

• Booker T. Washington Community Center, 1101 South 13th St., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday

The Way to Well Health Tour with AARP offers three free health tests that measure 10 key health indicators of a person’s risk for or symptoms of today’s leading chronic diseases: cancer, heart disease and diabetes. These tests measure total cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, body mass index, body composition, skeletal muscle, resting metabolism, visceral fat, real body age and body weight.

This community outreach initiative is partially funded by Walgreens customers. Walgreens allocates up to $3 million annually from its customers’ purchases of Walgreens brand health and wellness products to the Way to Well Fund.
