Vigo Health Clinic offers physicals, testing

TERRE HAUTE — The Health Clinic at the Vigo County Health Department is offering physicals, tuberculosis testing, lead testing and vaccines for children.

Starting this month, the Health Clinic will be performing sports physicals and kindergarten physicals for a fee of $15, cash only.

Also, the fee of tuberculosis testing will be $15, cash only.

TB tests are done on Mondays and Fridays.

The Health Clinic will continue to perform free lead tests to children under 7 years of age. Lead testing is done on Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment only.

Also, the Vigo County Health Department Health Clinic is a provider enrolled in the Vaccines for Children program and this program provides publicly funded vaccines to children under these categories:

• birth through 18 years of age

• insurance does not cover vaccines (underinsured) — health insurance does not pay for immunizations

• no health insurance

• American Indian/Alaskan native

• Medicaid
