Mayhem at Mill Creek is Saturday
The Clark County (Ill.) Park District Trails Coalition is gearing up for the 2nd Annual Mayhem at Mill Creek Extreme Trails Run set for Saturday.
The event is a 10K and offers a 1-mile Fun Mini Mayhem — for the less insane.
The footing is hilly, muddy (several water crossings) and loose in places. The trail is not maintained in some places. Participants should expect to be scratched, muddied and bruised. A handful of special test sections will keep runners guessing.
Protective eyewear is encouraged. Awards ceremony, refreshments and entertainment will await runners at the finish line.
The 1-mile Mini Mayhem begins at 8:30 a.m. CDT. Mayhem begins at 9 a.m. by the soccer field at Mill Creek Park. Packet pick-up is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. with a pre-race briefing just prior to start.
